Micronclean Supports Lincolnshire’s Circular Economy with GLLEP Collaboration

Through our Microngreen initiative, we’re constantly looking for ways to reduce waste, reuse resources, and design processes that work with, not against, our environment.
In 2024, we had the opportunity to put that commitment into action by contributing to the development of the Lincolnshire Circular Economy Framework, a project led by the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership (GLLEP) to help shape a more sustainable and resource-efficient regional economy.
Throughout the year, our team took part in activities that brought together businesses, policymakers, and community organisations to share knowledge and co-create solutions. Our involvement included:
- Participating in research to map local circular economy practices.
- Sharing insight into our own strategies, such as textile life-cycle management and waste minimisation.
- Engaging in collaborative workshops to help shape regional approach to circularity.
The Lincolnshire Circular Economy Framework is a roadmap for how our region can work together to keep materials in use for longer, create new economic opportunities, and protect our environment for future generations. As a local business, it’s important that we engage with initiatives to promote and boost our local economy.
Sophie Harris, QSHE & HR Director at Micronclean, commented "Circularity is already embedded in the way we operate, from extending the lifespan of our garments to minimising waste in our processes. This collaboration with GLLEP gave us the chance to share what we’ve learned, learn from others, and contribute to a stronger, greener Lincolnshire."
The framework, published in October 2024, identified key sectors and opportunities where Lincolnshire can lead the way in circular innovation.
